Bienvenido a la Primera Iglesia Bautista.
Somos una iglesia que busca conectar a la gente con Cristo. Nuestro propósito es simple y claro, buscamos honrar a Dios ayudando a más personas a convertirse en seguidores devotos de Cristo. Tal y como leemos en Filipenses 3:10 "a fin de conocerle, y el poder de su resurrección, y la participación de sus padecimientos, llegando a ser semejante a él en su muerte"
Nos gustaría mucho que visite nuestra iglesia y que nos permita conocerle personalmente, que pueda ver como Dios está trabajando activamente a través de la gente en nuestra iglesia. Sé que podrá tener una cálida y amable recepción por parte de nuestros miembros, pero, sobre todo, nos gustaría poder mostrarle cómo deben ser los discípulos de Cristo, nuestra meta es darle gloria a Dios a través de Jesucristo y simplemente buscamos hacerlo exaltando a nuestro Salvador, trabajando para la edificación de los santos y compartiendo el evangelio con aquellos que quieran venir a Cristo.

Escuela dominical a las 9:15 a.m.
La escuela dominical provee una oportunidad al creyente adulto de integrarse a pequeños grupos de compañerismo en donde se enseña el mensaje bíblico que transforma vidas, se construyen relaciones afectivas y se cumple el ministerio. Dado que el crecimiento personal es tan importante y es fundamental en todo lo que hacemos, tener compañerismo, la alabanza, compartir, cuidar los unos de los otros y servir, son más que simples elementos cruciales para el crecimiento que toman parte en la vida de las personas. Aquellos que toman parte en cada una de estas áreas pueden llegar a crecer más que los practican una sola.
Servicio matutino a las 10:30 a.m.
El servicio principal de la semana tiene lugar cada domingo por la mañana en donde todos nos reunimos juntos para un servicio dinámico. El pastor principal Marc Mortensen presenta mensajes bíblicos prácticos que nos retan a crecer espiritualmente en nuestras vidas y al mismo tiempo a compartir el mensaje de Jesucristo con los demás. Siempre hay a la disposición traducción simultánea al español.
Servicio vespertino a las 6:00 p.m.
Los servicios por la tarde se realizan el segundo y cuarto domingo de cada mes. Este es otro tiempo designado para la familia venga junta y sea alentada a crecer en su fe.
Guarderia / Preescolar
El ministerio de preescolar esta designado para niños desde que nacen hasta pre-kínder. Se provee cuidado de los niños durante todos los servicios con horario regular. Los niños son importantes para Dios, por esto, velar por la seguridad y ministrar a cada uno de ellos es una gran prioridad. Todos los voluntarios son examinados, se les toman las huellas dactilares y son entrenados para velar por las necesidades de los niños. El departamento de niños de 2 y 3 años trabaja con tareas y estudios bíblicos del currículo preescolar cada semana.
Escuela dominical
Los niños se reúnen para un estudio bíblico los domingos por la mañana, en donde descubren la verdad y encuentran dirección en su vida diaria a través de lecciones bíblicas. Los niños son alentados a crecer en su relación con Cristo y con los demás y a aumentar su conocimiento de la Biblia.
AWANA
AWANA es nuestro programa para niños los miércoles por la noche durante el año escolar. El programa de AWANA (OANSA en América Latina) significa Obreros Aprobados No Se Avergüenzan y se basa en 2 Timoteo 2:15.
Escuela Biblica de Vacaciones
Durante el verano, las noches de los miércoles tenemos la VBS (EBV – Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones) para niños de preescolar hasta 5°. Cada año los niños disfrutan de lecciones bíblicas, arte, juegos y meriendas basadas en un tema único.
Escuela dominical
Tanto estudiantes como sus líderes se reúnen a las 9:15 a.m. los domingos en un tiempo para descubrir la verdad y encontrar dirección en su diario vivir a través del estudio de la Biblia. Cada adolecente es alentado a realizar sus devocionales en sus diarios a través de la semana para luego reunirse el domingo y hablar sobre lo que han estudiado.
Grupo de jóvenes de los miércoles por la noche
Nos reunimos las noches de los miércoles a las 7:00 p.m. para un tiempo de alabanza, un buen mensaje y un tiempo para que los estudiantes construyan relaciones auténticas con gente de nuestra iglesia.
Actividades para Jóvenes
Los estudiantes son animados a ser parte distintas actividades que se ofrecen durante el año. Contáctenos para tener información de eventos específicos o respecto a cualquier otra pregunta referente al ministerio de jóvenes.
Liderazgo de estudiantes
El servicio es parte fundamental de nuestro grupo de jóvenes. Proveemos oportunidades para que los estudiantes descubran sus dones y habilidades y para que las usen sirviéndole a otros, tanto dentro como fuera de la iglesia.

El plan de Dios para salvación
Lo que en realidad sabemos
Todos somos pecadores. Todos hemos hecho mal. Romanos 3:10 dice: “Como está escrito: No hay justo, ni aun uno; …”
Dios es Santo. La Biblia dice que Dios es Santo, Dios justo. 1 Pedro 1:16 ” …Sed santo, porque yo soy santo.”
Un día estaremos frente a esa justicia de dios para ser juzgados. Hebreos 9:27 “Y de la manera que está establecido para los hombres que mueran una sola vez, y después de esto el juicio.”
Buenas nuevas
Jesucristo es Dios hecho carne. En Apocalipsis 1:8 Jesús dijo: “Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, principio y fin, dice el Señor, el que es y que era y que ha de venir, el Todopoderoso.”
Aquí, Jesús dice ser Dios hecho hombre. Jesús vino a este mundo a morir en tu lugar y a pagar por tus pecados. Lo hizo hace más de 2000 años, cuando sufrió la cruz y murió en tu lugar. Romanos 5:8 “Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.”
Tres días mas tarde, Jesús se levantó de entre los muertos y fue visto por más de 500 testigos al mismo tiempo. 1 Corintios 15:1-6 “Además os declaro, hermanos, el evangelio… Que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras; y que fue sepultado, y que resucitó al tercer día, conforme a las Escrituras… Después apareció a más de quinientos hermanos a la vez.”
Luego regresó al Cielo en donde reina como el único y verdadero Dios. El está esperando que vengas a Él.
Hay una sola cosa que debes hacer
Debes venir a Cristo, admitir que eres pecador y pedirle que te de vida eterna. Romanos 10:9-10, 13 dice: “que si confesares con tu boca que Jesús es el Señor, y creyeres en tu corazón que Dios le levanto de los muertos, serás salvo. Porque con el corazón se cree para justicia, pero con la boca se confiesa para salvación. Porque todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo."
Usted puede hacer una oración al Señor
"Dios, soy pecador y necesito tu perdón. Creo que Jesucristo derramo su preciosa sangre y que murió por mi pecado. Creo que resucito, probando que el es Dios mismo. En este momento, entendiendo mi condición, te pido que entres en mi vida y que me salves. Señor, gracias por tomar mi lugar en la cruz y perdonar mis pecados. Ayúdame a vivir ahora para ti. En Cristo Jesús. Amen."
Si has venido buscando a Cristo y le has entregado tu vida hoy, ahora eres un hijo de Dios y te encuentras camino al cielo. La familia de Dios se reúne cada domingo en iglesias locales alrededor del mundo. Nos gustaría invitarte a nuestra iglesia, aquí en Miami, Florida.
Estatuto de Fe
Creemos en la inspiración verbal de los 66 libros de la Biblia en sus escritos originales y que no tiene error y que es la única autoridad en todo lo que respecta a la fe y práctica. Creemos también que la Biblia muestra quien es Dios, la caída del hombre, el camino de la salvación y el plan y propósito de Dios en toda las épocas.
Creemos hay un Único y solo Dios viviente verdadero, existente en tres personas: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Estos tres han sido y serán eternos e iguales por toda la eternidad, cada uno con distinta personalidad pero con una misma naturaleza.
Creemos en la Deidad y nacimiento virginal de Jesucristo. Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios, coexistente con el Padre y el Espíritu Santo. Vino al mundo, nació de una virgen, sufrió, murió, fue sepultado y resucito físicamente y ascendió a la diestra del Padre.
Creemos en la Persona y la obra del Espíritu Santo, lo que incluye convicción de pecado, regeneración del pecador y habitando en el creyente.
Creemos que la salvación es “por gracia”, mas nada y menos nada. La condición para ser salvo es el arrepentimiento y la fe. Creemos también que el alma es salva cuando Cristo es aceptado como salvador personal y el Señor y el Espíritu Santo imparten vida eterna.
Creemos en la seguridad eterna de salvación así como en la perseverancia de los santos y que es el plan de Dios que cada creyente camine en el espíritu y no provea para los deseos de la carne.
Creemos en la inmersión del creyente en agua lo que significa Su muerte, sepultura y resurrección y que la forma en que el creyente se identifica con El. No creemos que el bautismo salve. El Bautismo es una expresión pública de un cambio interior. La cena del Señor constituye la otra de las únicas dos ordenanzas de la iglesia.
Creemos que una iglesia neo testamentaria es un grupo local de creyentes bautizados, unidos por Su propósito y conocimiento y esparcimiento de la Palabra de Dios, incluyendo las misiones en el mundo. Creemos que debe ser independiente, sin que ninguna persona, grupo o cuerpo tenga autoridad, derecho de intervención o control alguno dentro de la iglesia local.
Creemos en el visible, personal y pre-milenial regreso de Jesucristo y la resurrección corporal de los justos en Su venida. También creemos en la eterna bienaventuranza consciente de los salvos y el eterno castigo consciente de los perdidos.
Está sucediendo alrededor de todo el mundo a gente de todas las edades, gente mayor, gente joven, niños y aun bebés. La gente está muriendo sin saber cuál será su destino por la eternidad. Es así, y un día la muerte vendrá a tocar la puerta. La pregunta es ¿en donde pasarás la eternidad? La respuesta depende de ti. Tu puedes saber si iras al cielo cuando muertas.
La Biblia, la Palabra de Dios, dice en 1 Juan 5:13 “Estas cosas os he escrito a vosotros que creéis en el nombre del Hijo de Dios, para que sepáis que tenéis vida eterna, y para que creáis en el nombre del Hijo de Dios.”

Class Action Waiver

DBA: WESTWOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AND/OR ITS SUPPLIERS HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH REGARD TO THIS INFORMATION, SOFTWARE, PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND RELATED GRAPHICS, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF WESTWOOD LAKE, INC. DBA: WESTWOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AND/OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SITE, WITH THE DELAY OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR RELATED SERVICES, THE PROVISION OF OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE SERVICES, OR FOR ANY INFORMATION, SOFTWARE, PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND RELATED GRAPHICS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE, OR OTHERWISE ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF WESTWOOD LAKE, INC. DBA: WESTWOD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OR ANY OF ITS SUPPLIERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGES. BECAUSE SOME STATES/JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH ANY PORTION OF THE SITE, OR WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS OF USE, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE USING THE SITE.
Termination/Access Restriction
FBC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Florida in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Site. Use of the Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these Terms, including, without limitation, this section.
You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and FBC as a result of this agreement or use of the Site. FBC's performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of FBC's right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of the Site or information provided to or gathered by FBC with respect to such use. If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.
Unless otherwise specified herein, this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and FBC with respect to the Site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between the user and FBC with respect to the Site. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. It is the express wish to the parties that this agreement and all related documents be written in English.
Changes to Terms
FBC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the Terms under which www.FirstBaptistWestwoodLake.org is offered. The most current version of the Terms will supersede all previous versions. FBC encourages you to periodically review the Terms to stay informed of our updates.
